Job description

This position will lead cross functional teams in the design and development of new brake products that offer solutions to CBF off-highway customers. These include dry disc caliper brakes, wet brakes, drum brakes, mechanical brakes, and brake actuators for both off-highway service and park applications. Must have strong design and creativity skills to develop solutions for customer's equipment that meet internal & customer goals.
Requirements
• Lead multiple, concurrent product development programs
• Design and develop new brake and brake actuation products for CBF off-highway customers
• Lead cross functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to ensure quality, manufacturability, and cost targets are achieved.
• Maintain documentation associated with projects including engineering change notices, detailed engineering calculations, CAD models and associated component drawings, design worksheets, and supplier correspondence files.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis of assemblies using Creo Simulate.
• Design fixtures for testing the durability and performance of brake products
• Develop test specifications and write test requests to ensure designs meet customer expectations in terms of performance and durability.
• Select materials and specifications which will meet durability and cost requirements.
Competencies:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
5+ years product development experience - familiarity with construction / mining / ag equipment a plus.
3D CAD modeling experience - PROE/Creo a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Program management and cross functional team leadership experience a plus
Experience with sand cast and precision machined components
Experience with FMEA, GD&T, FEA
Experience with hydraulic components a plus
Must be a proficient multi-tasker
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team supporting customer solutions
