Job description

Position Summary

The Analyst, Inflight CBA Compliance provides operational and administrative support to the Manager, Inflight CBA Compliance in the administration and implementation of the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Analyst is responsible for grievance tracking and reporting, dispute resolution research, trend analysis, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting cross-functional projects related to labor relations and CBA administration.

The Analyst serves as a key resource to Inflight leadership by ensuring accurate and timely research, reporting, and documentation to support compliance with contractual obligations and dispute resolution processes. The Analyst is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

The Analyst demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and aligns with JetBlue's values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager, Inflight CBA Compliance with the administration and implementation of the TWU Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Conduct research necessary to support grievance investigations, dispute resolution processes, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Maintain grievance tracking systems and develop recurring and ad hoc reports related to grievance activity, timelines, and trends
  • Monitor grievance timelines and assist in ensuring contractual deadlines are met
  • Compile and analyze operational and labor-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to CBA compliance
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, summaries, reports, and briefing materials for leadership related to grievances, disputes, and labor matters
  • Partner with Crew Relations, Labor Relations, Legal, Crew Services, and other departments as necessary to support CBA administration and dispute resolution processes
  • Support the development and maintenance of compliance procedures, process documentation, and reference materials related to the TWU CBA
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of materials for mediations, arbitrations, and labor meetings
  • Research airline industry labor trends and other airline (OAL) CBA practices as needed
  • Support team projects and initiatives related to labor compliance, operational processes, and reporting enhancements
  • Draft communications and provide administrative support related to labor compliance activities and dispute resolution matters
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Conflict Resolution, or related field OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • One (1) year of analytical, operational, labor relations, or related experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain Inflight Crewmember Qualification
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Attention to detail with strong report-writing and documentation skills
  • Available for moderate overnight travel (up to 20%)
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of labor relations, crew scheduling, inflight operations, or human resources experience
  • One (1) year of JetBlue operational experience
  • Experience with grievance tracking, reporting, or labor compliance processes
  • Experience creating presentations and executive summaries for leadership audiences
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and with all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated project coordination and process improvement skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of airline operations and collective bargaining agreement administration

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
  • Participate in JetBlue Inflight Leadership Flying Program
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
