Mission Statement
Our central Illinois organization provides programs and services to adults with disabilities; enriching their quality of life, promoting social change, and optimizing their potential for independence.
REPORTS TO: Manager of Contract Packaging
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: EWM Pickers are responsible for encouraging consumer to work to their highest capacity and ensuring quality of packaged CAT parts.
Responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with CWTC's mission, policies, and in a manner that supports individuals with disabilities. All employees are required to attend mandated training sessions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Perform Putaway and Picks systematically in EWM
  2. Set up new jobs for each consumer in assigned areas
  3. Count and pack finished CAT parts
  4. Keep accurate part counts and provide to Production Clerk to ensure proper payroll information for all consumers in assigned areas
  5. Ensure quality and quantity are met with tickets
  6. Keep consumes supplied with all necessary materials (labels, jiffy, vci...etc)

OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Train new employees on work procedures
  2. Work in other production areas if necessary
  3. Encourage consumers to work to their highest capacity
  4. Perform other tasks, not inconsistent with qualifications or regular duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical requirements include lifting 35 - 50 pounds, bending, walking, pulling, pushing, and standing for long periods of time. Environmental conditions include working indoors around dust, cardboard and moving equipment. Interpersonal factors include listening to consumer complaints and giving verbal encouragement of proper work habits.
RELATED CONDITION: All employees are responsible for reporting any information, however acquired, pertaining to possible abuse or neglect of consumers to the Director of Quality Improvement, the Safety Director, or the Executive Director.
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION: Employees must follow all safety policies and use necessary protective equipment when applicable. Employees are responsible for reporting safety hazards and/or accidents to their supervisors immediately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Good reading, writing and counting skills
  3. Good organizational skills
  4. Good communication skills
