ABOUT THE ROLE
Trojan Battery Company is looking for a driven and thorough person for the Casting Operator role. (2nd shift) Your role as the Casting Operator will include monitoring devices and tools to assure proper function, completing daily standard production reports, performing inventory counts and reports and understanding CTQ & SPC - reading and understanding charts and graphs. You will collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering managers to assist and/or implement programs related to different process improvements.


The Casting Operator will be committed to performing the role safely and have the ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). SHIFTS

  • 2nd Shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Can perform each function in assigned area.
  • Sets-up and operates all machinery/equipment with superior efficiency.
  • Performs inventory counts and reports.
  • Verifies production and quality standards are met.
  • Performs visual/physical inspections and tests for quality and quantity.
  • Analyzes and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
  • Expedites repairs and corrective measures to prevent excessive downtime, schedule interruptions and eliminate defects.
  • Must complete CPI Training (methodology).
  • Assist with training as needed.
  • Assists Supervisor/Lead in assigning work crews and various department operations (deliveries, transfers, ovens, data collection.
  • Complete hourly CTQ data collector.
  • Ability to perform mold and trim die changes.
  • Must be clean shaven
  • All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
  • You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, GED or greater required.
  • Forklift certification
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
