Job description

Executive Summary
The Senior VP of Business Operations will serve as General Manager for AIS PCBS Operations, Technology, and Sales. This leader owns the BU P&L and is responsible for scaling South Plainfield's advanced PCB/PCBA capabilities, aligning technology with customer needs, and driving profitable growth through disciplined execution across operations, engineering, and sales.
Core Responsibilities
  1. PCB Technology & Engineering Strategy (The Solution)

Technology Roadmap: Lead the PCB/PCBA roadmap for advanced ATE interface boards, including materials, layer count, signal/power integrity, and manufacturability.
Customer-Driven Innovation: Prioritize engineering resources toward strategic customer programs requiring performance, complexity, and NPI readiness.
  1. Manufacturing & Operations (The Engine)

Operations: Oversee PCB fabrication and PCBA operations, including materials flow, process capability, quality, cycle time, and delivery.
Productivity: Improve cost, throughput, yield, automation, and factory constraint management.
  1. Financial Performance & P&L Leadership
  • Strategy-to-Numbers: Take full ownership of the BU's Profit and Loss statement, converting strategic vision into measurable EBITDA growth.

Capital Allocation: Prioritize CapEx for PCB fabrication, automation, capacity expansion, and technology development.
Commercial Discipline: Own pricing, margin expansion, and profitable growth for custom PCBA and advanced test interface board solutions.
Candidate Profile
Industry Experience: 15+ years in advanced PCB fabrication, PCBA operations, semiconductor test interface boards, or related electronics manufacturing.
  • Strategic Integrator: Proven ability to manage a P&L while balancing the conflicting pressures of rapid R&D and manufacturing cost-containment.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to engage technically with a Lead Architect and strategically with a CFO or Board Member.

Education: Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; MBA or equivalent financial leadership experience highly preferred.
