Job Description
Venteon Finance is currently seeking a qualified CONTROLLER for a growing construction-related client.
REQUIREMENTS for the Controller role
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of progressive experience
  • Construction or Contracting industry experience
  • Understanding of Job Costs and WIP
  • Supervisory experience as either a Controller, Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller role
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial packages, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Coordinate with the CFO on the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts
  • Manage banking relationships and monitor daily cash flow to support operational needs
  • Maintain the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
  • Coordinate annual audits
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff (Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Staff Accountant).
  • Other Duties as assigned
