The Foster Care Case Worker plays a vital role in our mission to deliver coordinated, individualized care to our communities.

As a Foster Care Case Worker, you will provide:

• Case Management and Support:
  • Conduct interviews with children and families, and complete detailed home studies.
  • Develop individualized treatment and service plans that address each child’s unique needs.
  • Provide counseling and guidance to children and families throughout placement or discharge.
• Child and Family Supervision:
  • Oversee children in foster, resource, and adoptive homes, as well as independent living arrangements.
  • Perform regular assessments to determine the child’s needs for medical, psychosocial, educational, and nutritional services.
• Service Coordination and Continuity:
  • Link children to appropriate services, minimizing barriers to care and coordinating with other agencies to ensure comprehensive service access.
  • Assist in arranging referrals for medical, remedial, and dental services as outlined in each child’s treatment plan.
  • Monitor the ongoing progress of each case, evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan and collaborating with involved parties, including family assessment teams.
• Education and Counseling:
  • Build a supportive, trusting relationship with the child, promoting growth and well-being in alignment with the service plan.
  • Educate children and families on available resources and work closely with team members to prepare comprehensive case plans.

This role is compensated on a salaried basis, providing consistent earnings aligned with the responsibilities and expectations of the position.

• Compensation: $47,649.66 - $61,186.56

Placement within the range is based on licensure level, education, and experience.

• Support foster children and families through case management, counseling, and individualized care plans.
• Conduct home visits, interviews, and regular assessments to ensure children’s safety and well-being.
• Coordinate services like medical, educational, and community resources to meet each child’s needs.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families while helping guide them toward stability and growth.

• Conduct interviews, home studies, and assessments for children and foster families.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment and service plans for each child.
• Coordinate medical, educational, counseling, and community support services.
• Maintain regular communication with families, foster homes, and partner agencies to track progress and ensure quality care.

• Education/Experience:
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work or a related field (sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling) from an accredited institution with at least one year of experience in providing casework services to children and families.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field with relevant experience in casework services or at least two years of experience in casework services with a bachelor’s degree in any field.
