The Opportunity
As a Real Estate Case Assistant, you will assist paralegals and attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. You will work with our Real Estate teams across the country, reporting to the paralegals on your team, and working collaboratively with various groups of attorneys, paralegals and staff. Our Real Estate Case Assistants will be provided training and a path to a paralegal position.
The Day-To-Day
On any given day you will:
• Provide support for our Real Estate Team.
• Coordinate and track diligence deliverables and track the progress of the deal from beginning to end assuring satisfaction of requirements associated with each stage of the transaction.
• Upload due diligence deliveries and executed/final documents to client dealroom. The case assistant is the primary point person for maintaining the client dealroom.
• Organize and prepare of title packages for review.
• Draft the closing binder indexes and assist with assembly of closing binders.
• Prepare and deliver Day of Close Package to client (and subsequent closing deliveries).
• Create initial drafts of loan documents, closing documents and related deal correspondence.
• Assist with file organization.
• Draft UCCs on CSC dealroom and file/track UCCs post-closing.
You Have
• A Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate (business or related field preferred)
• Work experience in a professional services environment (law firm or real estate related industry preferred)
• Strong academic performance, interpersonal, organizational, time management, problem solving, and communications skills, along with a basic understanding of real estate terminology.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Adobe, Explorer and Outlook).
