WHAT YOU WILL DO

Build Strategic Carrier Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking carriers, dispatchers, and fleet managers.
  • Expand RJ Logistics' carrier network by identifying and onboarding qualified transportation partners.
  • Maintain consistent communication to secure available truck capacity and strengthen long-term partnerships. Serve as a trusted point of contact between carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Source Capacity & Negotiate Solutions

  • Source carrier capacity for customer freight across multiple transportation modes.
  • Negotiate competitive rates while balancing profitability, service, and carrier relationships.
  • Match available equipment with customer freight to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Manage spot freight and support dedicated transportation opportunities.

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service

  • Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure exceptional service.
  • Proactively identify transportation challenges and develop timely solutions.
  • Communicate shipment updates, expectations, and service requirements clearly with all stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Leverage Technology & Data

  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related technology to manage freight activity.
  • Accurately document load information, accessorial charges, communications, and shipment updates.
  • Follow company procedures to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.

Collaborate & Grow

  • Partner with Operations, Customer Sales, and Leadership to meet customer expectations.
  • Support seamless shift transitions through proactive communication.
  • Stay informed on freight market trends, carrier capacity, and transportation pricing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional team responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

 WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.

  • Understanding of freight markets, carrier operations, or supply chain logistics.
