Evans Delivery Company - Merrillville, IN

Evans Delivery is an Intermodal trucking company located in Merrillville, IN with the Corporate Location in Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Summary

We handle both domestic and international freight generally within a 150-200 mile radius of Chicago & Indianapolis. Potential applicants are responsible for coordinating the picking up and delivering of freight from start to finish through communication between drivers, in-office staff and outside customers. Once fully trained, potential applicants will be asked to rotate an after hour emergency phone which may lead to evening and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Have 1 year of Intermodal dispatcher experience (knowledge of both domestic and international work preferred)

  • Effective communication / customer service skills through multiple platforms including phone and email

  • Strong computer skills

  • Tracing inbound containers

  • Scheduling delivery & pick up appointments

  • Keeping customers informed on the status of their loads

  • Exchanging load information with drivers so they can complete loads

  • Collecting load information from drivers

    • In / Out Times

    • Shipment Information (Piece count, wright & seal)

  • Be able to correctly REZ containers from one customer to another

  • Performing other tasks to assist lead dispatcher
