Carpentry Manager - Tower 3 Carpentry (Teton Region)

Reports To: President

Job Type: Full-time, salaried

Work location: Job sites are located in the Teton Region, including but not limited to Jackson, Wilson, and Teton Village, WY and Teton Valley, ID - Victor, Driggs & Tetonia, ID and Alta, WY.


Tower 3 Carpentry is the self-perform carpentry and labor division of New West Building Company. We build high high-quality residential and commercial projects with a focus on craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork. Weโ€™re looking for a skilled Carpentry Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Carpentry Manager leads Tower 3โ€™s self-performed carpentry and labor teams across multiple projects. Youโ€™ll supervise crew leaders, drive productivity, uphold safety and quality standards, and support project teams in delivering work on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations for self-perform carpentry and labor crews
  • Plan and schedule self-perform labor and carpentry workforce across multiple active projects
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate carpenters and laborers in partnership with HR
  • Develop crew leads and high potential employees to support career path growth
  • Track productivity, labor hours, and costs; implement efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate materials procurement for self-perform scopes
  • Participate in preconstruction planning/constructability reviews
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; run safety meetings and inspections
  • Maintain incident/inspection/compliance documentation and corrective actions
  • Support punch list and closeout; step in to perform carpentry/labor work as needed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years construction experience with strong carpentry background
  • 3+ years supervising field crews
  • Experience coordinating labor across multiple projects
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel locally between job sites
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with a GC/self-perform division
  • Spanish language skills
