Trinity Rail Maintenance Services, Inc.is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position ofWeld Trainerin ourJonesboro, ARlocation. We provide a complete array of railcar maintenance services. We welcome your business leadership and people leadership and drive to excellence. This position will support the Plant Training Program by delivering verified proficient employees to the floor. The result is a trained new employee released to the floor requiring less production time to train them in the OJT process.

This position will deliver training performed at the plant to include; classroom, skills exercises and OJT to effectively measure and track employee progress. This position may deliver training for Mechanical, Valve, Cleaning and Coatings departments in addition to Weld procedure training.

What you'll do
  • Facilitate classroom, hands-on, OJT learning for both new and existing employee
  • Coach and Train lower level welders
  • Make and train welding to stainless and carbon steel
  • Train rail car modification and repair procedures
  • Perform full welds to subassemblies and to the tank
  • Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
  • Conduct Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Follow and train all applicable safety and quality procedures required to perform procedures
  • Maintain training documentation and ensure compliance with required standards
  • Manage equipment programs to ensure that standards are being met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsWhat you'll need
  • 5+ years of proficient weld experience to include stainless steel and carbon steel welding
  • Ability to read and interpret weld procedures and drawings
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to explain concepts to other team members
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
