Job description

We are looking for a great caregiver to join our team at a home for adults with developmental disabilities located in Lemon Grove. Our residents love crafts, cooking classes, and fun community outings so we're looking for someone who likes to do those activities too! We are a behavioral home so experience working with strong behaviors and using behavior modification techniques is required.
Applicants must have:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, both weekends & weekdays
-A reliable car to drive clients in
-Fingerprint clearance
Some Responsibilities May Include:
- Teach activities of daily living (following daily routine, cooking, grooming, etc.)
- Ensure the health and safety of residents
- Take daily data and pass daily medications
- Take residents on fun community outings or doctor's appointments using your car
- Attend all staff meetings and continuing education classes/ trainings
Qualifications:
- A belief that all adults have the right and the ability to work and live in the community
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Required health screening, criminal background check, drug test, first aid training
- Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- A year of experience working with Developmental Disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
