We're looking for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead our inventory control team, improve warehouse processes, and ensure inventory accuracy across our operation. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and enjoys coaching teams while driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
As the Inventory Control Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily execution of inventory control processes while partnering with warehouse leadership, purchasing, and operations to support one of Louisiana's premier food distributors.
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control team
  • Oversee daily inventory accuracy and stock integrity
  • Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse leadership to support demand planning
  • Improve inventory processes that reduce shrinkage and increase operational efficiency
  • Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse operations, or supervisory experience
  • Food distribution, manufacturing, or high-volume warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred

Work Environment
This position is based in a fast-paced refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -5°F to 60°F. Candidates should be comfortable working around warehouse equipment and forklift traffic while meeting the physical demands of a distribution environment.
