Capital One's Global Payment Network Controllers team is looking for an accounting or project management professional ready to support the prioritization and execution of high-impact projects. We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Global Payment Network Controllers Business Intent Team as a Project Manager with a focus on project execution. In this role, you will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders on strategic initiatives that are transforming our company. You will be responsible for managing the Agile process from intake to delivery for the team, including prioritization, planning, sprint management, and issue escalation. The ideal candidate can deliver in a challenging and fast-paced environment, and needs to be skilled in managing stakeholder and customer expectations, while concurrently maintaining delivery momentum. The role requires a well-rounded individual who is comfortable adjusting their approach to meet unique needs across multiple stakeholder groups within a complex organization.

In this role you will:

  • Plan, manage, and document project plans with the ability to quickly establish structure and ensure delivery.

  • Lead the Network Controllers Business Intent team through effective utilization of the Agile framework to deliver on key business initiatives

  • Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to navigate the prioritization and support of initiatives with competing timelines

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adapt quickly to changing business demands and priorities.

  • Review team's progress and issues during projects, along with providing guidance and support to ensure timely delivery and appropriate escalation when needed.

  • Responsible for effectively managing the escalation of all Risk, Issues, Impediments, and Dependencies and escalation of potential missed milestones.

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Cultivate deep understanding of business processes to proactively identify areas for optimization and streamlining as well as develop key metrics to track progress.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

  • At least 6 years of Project Management experience, including experience leading business transformation projects

  • At least 1 year of Agile project management experience

  • At least 1 year of experience with Jira

  • At least 1 year of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reconciliation system experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills

  • Strong understanding of financial, banking, data, and technology concepts

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Anytown, DE: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Accounting


McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Accounting


Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Accounting









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
