SALARY: $95 - 105K DOE

OVERVIEW:

The Director will work within the Nonprofit Connection (NPC) team to strengthen the Greater Houston nonprofit ecosystem and ensure that nonprofit organizations, leaders, and networks develop the expertise to achieve success in pursuing local, state, and federal public grants.ย  The incumbents' purpose will be to develop nonprofit talent; advance nonprofit growth and resiliency; connect nonprofit organizations to resources; and unite people, partners, and collaborative networks to facilitate collective action and learning.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

Nonprofit Capacity Building: Oversee the delivery of tools and strategies associated with grant funding and assist in the coordination of public and cohort-based ย ย webinars and workshops that address all facets of the public funding continuum.ย  Coordinate with contract consultant(s) to create relevant forms of learning: in-person, online and self-directed best suited to deliver content. Research and share timely resources aligned with learning objectives for program participants.ย  Develop and manage a grant application, selection and monitoring process. Plan and implement quarterly Grant Advisory Committee meetings, providing timely updates and sharing evaluation results. Assist with development of NPC workshops and webinars, using results of annual Professional Development survey to plan content. Work with Community Resource Center Director to secure and monitor spaces for annual reservation calendar.ย  Recruit pro-bono speakers to deliver desired content. Coordinate annual Board Fair. Secure pro bono facilitators to support the development of new Leaders Circles and Learning Circles.ย  Recruit candidates for circle membership.

Program Coordination and Oversight: provide support for grant program and ongoing NPC activities.ย  Develop and monitor departmental work plans and budgets.ย  coordinate the project work of staff and consultants to ensure achievement of key performance indicators.ย  Oversee the execution and monitoring of professional contracts and MOUs with consultants, evaluators, community partners and vendors.

Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with diverse ย ย organizational partners. ย Convene and facilitate small and large group discussions. Actively seek opportunities to foster partnerships and collaborative ventures.ย 

Cross-functional Engagement: Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal departments and consultants.ย ย  Maintain open channels of communication
