Job Title: Capacity Manager
Location: Shaw AFB, SC
This position is pending contract award.
Job Responsibilities
Trace Systems is seeking a dynamic IT Capacity Manager to join our team in support of the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) contract at Shaw AFB, SC. This role offers the opportunity to provide business capacity management, service capacity management and component capacity management, and capacity management reporting support for Enterprise and AOC networks and systems. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Translate requirements and/or plans into capacity and performance requirements for services and IT infrastructure, and ensure that future capacity and performance needs can be fulfilled;
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyses, and communicate design considerations and guidance to project teams;
  • Manage, control and predict the performance and capacity of operational services, including initiating proactive and reactive action to ensure that the performance and capacities of services meet targets;
  • Correlate operational growth projections with historical trends/performance data to predict when a system can no longer meet defined operating targets;
  • Manage, control and predict the performance, utilization and capacity of IT resources and individual IT network/system components (servers, switches, routers, infrastructure, etc.);
  • Perform trend analysis of IT resources to ensure capacity of systems and infrastructure meet current and future operational requirements;
  • Monitor and ensure IT networks/systems are configured to correctly and accurately transmit capacity-related statistics IAW capacity management standards;
  • Perform analysis to identify capacity issues and their associated root causes, and provide upgrade/enhancement strategies and recommendations totechnical representatives;
  • Provide data, information and metrics related to service and resource capacity, utilization and performance other technical staff, and leadership;
  • Ensure IT network/system documentation is current, accurate and filed with the Configuration Manager (CM), as required;
  • Develop and maintain enterprise infrastructure models, including standards and guidelines for use across the enterprise;
  • Provide monthly IT networks/systems capacity reviews and Capacity Management Report, to include issue tracking, resolution and escalation, as directed by; and
  • Perform technical support and facilitate O&M activities, as required.
  • Global travel up to 10%.
  • Other Duties as Required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher.
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) certification.
  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator, or equivalent certification.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
