About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Capacity Planner to support capacity planning activities across manufacturing partners, technologies, and products. This role will help maintain planning data, monitor capacity utilization, support vendor forecast processes, and assist with identifying potential supply constraints.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn semiconductor supply chain planning, SAP IBP, capacity modelling, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
Capacity Planning Support
• Support capacity planning activities for assigned products, work centers, or vendors.
• Monitor demand, capacity, and utilization reports.
• Assist in identifying capacity gaps and potential constraints.
• Prepare routine planning reports and dashboards.
System & Data Maintenance
• Maintain capacity planning master data, including capacity assumptions, cycle times, yields, and availability.
• Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Support SAP IBP planning activities and system updates.
• Ensure planning assumptions are properly documented.
Vendor Forecast Support
• Prepare and distribute vendor forecast packages.
• Track vendor responses and update planning systems.
• Compare vendor commitments against forecast requirements.
• Escalate missing or inconsistent vendor information to senior planners.
Analysis & Reporting
• Gather and analyze planning data from multiple systems.
• Support monthly and quarterly capacity reviews.
• Create charts, summaries, and presentations for planning discussions.
• Provide basic analysis of capacity utilization and forecast trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with Supply Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Vendor Management teams.
• Participate in planning meetings and document actions and follow-ups.
• Communicate planning updates and data issues in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement
• Support process improvement and automation projects.
• Help identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Learn planning tools, systems, and business processes.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Internship or experience in supply chain, operations, planning, manufacturing, or data analysis.
• Experience with ERP, SAP, SAP IBP, Power BI, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools.
• Understanding of forecasting, planning, or manufacturing concepts.
