Job Title: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Business Development Manager
Location: US or Canada
Field based: Remote/Field based
Our AI Business Unit (AI BU) is seeking a highly recognised, energetic and market visible Sales/Business Development Manager with prior experience of selling AI services or SaaS in a consultative, business to business sales environment.
The AI BU has been recently established and the ideal professional will leverage BSI's reputation, capabilities, and global network of top tier expertise to create sales opportunities in previously unrecognized markets; successfully sell to new and existing clients; and expand market share across the industries such as Biometric, Manufacturing, and many more.
Our AI Business Development Manager will identify and develop sales opportunities by gleaning an in-depth understanding of clients' business needs and drivers through a thorough, structured business review. Equally as important is the efficient account management of our client base, following a structured contact strategy, ensuring maximum client retention.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Proactively engaging with existing & new clients.
  • Identifying new prospects and growing the client base.
  • Accept responsibility for the timeliness of delivery in line with the clients' expectations.
  • Account & opportunity management to develop solid pipeline.
  • Accurately record sales and order information in the CRM.
  • Remain up to date with developments in global AI Acts and the standards industry. Also be able to explain the standards development process and upcoming AI technical/quality management standards (e.g. 42001, 42006, etc) to clients.
  • Effectively conveying complex ideas & business proposals showing breadth & depth of BSI product offering, including giving presentations.

Skills & Experience required:
  • Ideally you will be experienced in working in the regulatory &/or certification industry.
  • You must be experienced and comfortable holding technical conversations with clients around software development & the software life cycle.
  • Substantial experience of working in a regulated industry, professional service environment.
  • A track record of successful consultative sales and hunting accomplishments (local, regional, national, global account growth & development)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to build good relationships at executive level.
  • Have proven sales track record in taking new products into new markets
  • Be able to demonstrate successful management of complex client requirements
  • Good knowledge of up-coming AI regulations and related guidance
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills including presentation design & delivery.

The base salary range for this position is $86,400- $108,000 annually plus commission. The advertised salary range reflects the level, scope, and responsibilities of the role. Starting salary within the range will be determined based on experience, skills, market considerations, and alignment with internal equity principles.
