Job description

Piedmont Candy Company is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Packers to join our growing 2nd Shift Production Team in Lexington, NC. In this role, you will package our iconic peppermint candy into tubs and bags while ensuring every product meets our high standards for quality and food safety.

What You'll Do
As a Packer, you will help package finished candy products into tubs and bags while ensuring each package meets quality and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Package candy into tubs, bags, and cases
  • Inspect products for defects such as:
    • Missing or incorrect dates
    • Broken tubs or lids
    • Damaged boxes or tape issues
    • Incorrect weights
  • Ensure lids are properly sealed
  • Operate bagging equipment, including starting and stopping machines
  • Move candy containers to inspectors
  • Verify correct bag counts per case
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Restock packaging materials as needed
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Assist with sanitation and general housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned
