BASTROP CAMPUS PLANNING MANAGER (BASTROP)
SpaceX is seeking an experienced, driven Bastrop Campus Planning Manager to own strategic site planning and growth for our expanding the Bastrop campus. This role will lead the site's long-term infrastructure strategy as we scale production operations and facilities. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, experience managing technical requirements across large-scale programs, and a proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own and maintain the master utility and facility sheet, managing inputs from stakeholders, challenging requirements, and ensuring accuracy and alignment with site needs.
  • Develop and manage the master site plan, forecasting many years ahead to proactively address growth requirements and infrastructure demands.
  • Drive high-level land planning and usage strategies to optimize campus expansion and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government officials, landowners, and key stakeholders to identify and secure partnerships as needed.
  • Partner closely with the Government Affairs team to expedite regulatory approvals and remove blockers.
  • Cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships with construction, operations, and site leadership teams to align on priorities and execution.
  • Lead and project manage utility expansions over time, from planning through implementation, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Urban Planning.
  • 5+ years of experience in site planning, facilities management, or infrastructure project management.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven track record in long-term planning, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory navigation.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using tools like MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience in high-growth industrial sites, utilities expansion, or campus development.
  • Familiarity with Texas land use regulations, permitting processes, and local government dynamics.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Engineering/Planning) or PMP certification.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, AutoCAD, or site modeling tools.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Able to travel up to 10% on an ongoing basis.
