Campus Aide
Part Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Elementary Assistant Principal
Education/Experience Required/Preferred: A high school degree and experience working with children is required. Experience in a school setting is preferred.ย 

Pay Rate: $17.28/hr

General Responsibilitiesย 

Provides support and supervision to students before and after school hours and during recesses and lunch with an emphasis on the safety and the well being of each individual student.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitors student behavior in childcare, at recess and at the lunch area
  • Enforces school policies and procedures
  • Performs safety checks of playground and lunch areas and informs appropriate departments of possible hazards
  • Corrects improper behavior and reports major infractions to the properย  teacher and/or administrator
  • Develops trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff
  • Provides support for classroom teachers as needed
  • Communicates appropriately with teachers and administrators regarding student behavior
  • Maintains confidentiality of student information, behavior, and discipline issues
  • Campus Aide positions may require work in the following additional areas:
    • Cafeteria
    • Offices
    • Traffic
    • Library
