A caller’s responsibilities are to make outbound phone calls for sales, marketing, fundraising, or survey reasons. The duties of a caller are to know what product or fundraising cause you are selling, pitch it to potential customers, and schedule follow-up conversations. They often make cold calls to fill a sales or phone call quota. Most people in this position work for a call center, which is a company that hires multiple callers to sell a product or an idea. Some callers work for telemarketing companies while others may conduct surveys for companies or the government.
