What We Need

Corpay/Paymerang is currently looking to hire a Strategic Caller. This position falls under our Paymerang line of business and is located in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will support our client’s vendor base for B2B payments; simplifying the payment process and providing better control and visibility for our clients. This position is responsible for contacting vendors via phone to develop new vendor relationships for our clients and generate new revenue. Responsibilities also include fostering the client relationships sold and working closely with Vendor Enrollment management, as well as the Implementation and Sales teams, to develop plans to build or retire quota. You will report directly to the hiring manager and regularly collaborate with other team(s)/department(s).

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Placing calls to Strategic vendors not currently participating in the program Maintaining vendor queue, appropriately prioritizing calls, retiring non-accepting vendors, and ensuring campaign completion within appropriate timelines
  • Entering vendor and/or client data within designated databases and accurately noting vendor contact and acceptance information
  • Discussing enrollment statistics with clients, sales, and/or project management
  • Liaising between vendor and client; discussing payment issues or negotiating payment terms
  • Circumventing vendor objections by proposing alternate payment options
  • Handling inbound (80+) and outbound calls in a professional manner
  • Utilizing multiple applications provided by Corpay/Paymerang in order to assist customers efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrating effective oral and written communications with customers, department personnel, and management
  • Proficiently in being able to cross-sell additional products and services
  • Transferring calls to the appropriate department or staff
  • Providing customers with accurate account information in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness
  • Multi-tasking, listening, inputting data, probing, providing solutions, and navigating through various screens while applying basic customer satisfaction techniques
  • Additional tasks assigned as determined by business needs

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 1.5+ years of high call volume experience
  • 1+ years previous experience in inside sales/telesales or sales support preferred
  • Must be focused and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision
  • Excellent level of personal organization with superior telephone etiquette, verbal and written communication skills, as well as, customer service skills are required
  • Analytical and general math skills are required
  • Ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively
  • managing multiple projects
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office product suite, including Excel and Outlook are essential
