About the role
Join our team and keep the kitchen running smoothly, one sparkling plate at a time! Be the behind-the-scenes superstar who turns suds into smiles and helps our chefs shine.
Pay rate: $16-$18
Role type: non-exempt
Essential Job Duties
• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
• Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it is clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways, remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
