Starting Salary: $42,000 yearly (non exempt) 

Flex Shift

Join our dynamic Stewarding Team! We're looking for an energetic leader who is passionate about maintaining high standards and supporting team success. In this role, you will effectively supervise Stewards during each shift, foster a positive and productive work environment, and ensure all team members are thoroughly trained to follow established safety procedures and standards. What does a Stewarding Supervisor do?

  • Effectively supervises Stewards on shift.
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly sanitized and stored correctly when not in use.
  • Continually demonstrates thorough knowledge of all aspects of safety to include machine use, MSDS, and chemical usage, 
  • Ensures that all Stewards are trained to adhere to specific safety standards.
  • Continually assigns duties for the Stewards to ensure maximum productivity. 
  • Monitors business flow to develop efficient training, break and shift schedules and tracks and records LOAs, vacation time, Eos, call-outs and special requests.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all kitchen inventory and tracks supplies and food items to ensure appropriate quantity and quality of product.
  • Always inventories and orders all materials needed to properly serve the guests in the daily operations of all food outlets and banquets in conjunction with the outlet Manager.
  • Maintains knowledge of F&B Operation's internal functions, controls and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes.
  • Always accepts direction from Executive Steward in regards to special projects and completion of special work assignments.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Stewarding Supervisor, you'll need:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, college degree or some level of secondary education preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity. 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a steward. 
  • The ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • To make decisions in a stressful environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule; ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Mathematical ability; budgets, payroll, etc. 
  • Written communication skills; standard forms, data entry and documentation. 
  • The ability to read; budgets, standard forms, performance reviews, schedules and daily paperwork.
  • The ability to speak and understand the English language; must continuously communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word and Excel and Lotus. 
  • The ability to operate a dish machine and floor cleaners; work under extreme temperatures; 0-110 degrees. 
  • To be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
