The Opportunity
The Calendar Clerk in our Employment Class Action is responsible for ensuring deadlines are met for a high volume of cases.
Accountable for
  • Maintain the departments calendar system, calculating and entering court related deadlines for State and Federal courts.
  • Track important legal and filing deadlines for high-volume caseload.
  • Knowledge of local court rules, procedures, and timelines for filing deadlines.
  • Able to read court and judicial orders and rules and calendar relevant deadlines; manually adjust and enter calendar deadlines and relevant dates as needed.
  • Docket hearings, discovery, and all information related to court filings.
  • Calendar related deadlines for depositions, mediations, court appearances, and similar tasks.
  • Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience calendaring in Employment law preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience reading court and judicial orders and identify/tweak calendar dates based on judges rules preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience using calendaring software such as Milana, CLIO, Filevine, etc.
  • Type at least 40 WPM.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate is $30-34 hourly ($62,400-$70,000 annually depending on experience)
