Position Overview

As a Café Manager at Corner Market Café, you will lead daily café operations while creating a positive, upbeat, and guest-focused environment for both customers and team members. This position reports directly to the District Manager and requires a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week across six days.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing team while ensuring operational excellence, food quality, service standards, and financial performance.

Successful Café Managers lead by example, bring strong energy to every shift, and create a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and great guest service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, energetic, and guest-focused café environment every day
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop team members to deliver outstanding service and operational excellence
  • Build a positive team culture through recognition, communication, accountability, and support
  • Recruit and retain friendly, service-oriented team members who align with company culture
  • Oversee daily operations including scheduling, inventory, food safety, cash control, and labor management
  • Maintain strong store standards for cleanliness, organization, speed, and product quality
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses including labor, waste, and shrink
  • Support promotions, sales initiatives, and community engagement efforts with enthusiasm
  • Complete administrative tasks, reporting, and documentation accurately and on time
  • Model professionalism, positivity, urgency, and strong work ethic during every shift
  • Jump into operational tasks as needed including cashiering, food preparation, guest service, and restocking
  • Address employee or guest concerns professionally and in alignment with company policy
  • Partner with the District Manager to achieve operational, financial, and customer service goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous leadership, restaurant, café, convenience retail, or customer service management experience preferred
  • Must consent to a criminal background check and drug screening
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) required
