Job description

At Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC), we have been the trusted provider of precision tooling for mission-critical aerospace, defense, and aviation applications for over 75 years. Our tools are manufactured in the United States and trusted by industry leaders worldwide. As a cable assembler, you will play a key role in delivering the high-quality parts our customers depend on. By assembling finished product using sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling
  • Set and assemble small, large hand tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with direct supervision
  • On-site attendance is required
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures
  • Must be able to concentrate and sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Assembly or Manufacturing environment required
  • Ability to interpret blueprints preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motion
  • Fine motor skills and close visual attention required

Working Conditions:
  • On-site attendance required; First shift - 6:00AM - 2:30PM
  • Manufacturing environment; exposure to coolants, oils, metal chips, dust, and moderate to high noise
  • PPE required: safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
  • Shop temperature is climate controlled
