Electrical Assembly Technician
Express Employment Professionals - St. Paul, MN is assisting a small local testing company to fill a Electrical Assembly Technician position. Position is located in the St Paul area.
Pay: $25 - 35/hour DOE
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM will work every other Friday as well.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities Listed Below - Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.
  • Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble product.
  • Wiring harness assembly, mount electrical components, and finish wire in junction box per schematic. Mount junction box and route cable assemblies on finish product.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, wiring, layout, and mounting of components per drawing or specification.
  • Perform work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment.

Qualifications
Preferred Education / Experience:
  • Associates degree in related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for assembly and diagnostic purposes.
  • Ability to read blue prints and technical specifications.
  • Perform a high degree of precision work - wiring, soldering, crimping.
  • Proficient with basic hand tools.
  • Self-starter ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, produce a new concept and or idea.
