Position: Process Engineer High Speed Cable Assembly

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our High Speed Cable team. The position will be located in Nashua, New Hampshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Design and Development of new High Speed Cable products to optimize manufacturability. (Quality, Cost, Efficiency)
  • Define, Source, and Implement equipment/tooling needed to build High Speed Cable assemblies in Nashua to support early sample builds for in house design validation and customer requirements
  • Evaluate, understand, and implement elements from customer specifications that define required cable assembly customization
  • Develop, support, and optimize High Speed cable assembly manufacturing process in Nashua
  • Assist in design, procurement, and debug of fixtures and tooling
  • Establish and document process details. Drive transfer of manufacturing tools and processes to volume manufacturing sites

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of experience as Process/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of solid modeling tools, (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of statistical concepts
  • Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred
  • Experience in the design and assembly of telecommunication cable assemblies preferred
