The Position
CAA Hockey is seeking a Director of Marketing and Brand Partnerships to work alongside Hockey Leadership in guiding the Off-Ice division of our Hockey business. This person will oversee the Off-Ice/Marketing staff, drive new business opportunities for clients, and develop strategic partnerships with brands, sponsors, and media partners. The ideal candidate is creative, efficient, relationship-driven, and experienced in athlete marketing and brand development, with a proven ability to cultivate opportunities and close deals
Responsibilities
  • Develop partnership strategies for CAA Hockey clients
  • Identify, secure, and execute new brand partnerships, endorsement opportunities, and marketing deals for clients
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Marketing and Client Servicing team; build strategy and provide support in client servicing, deal execution, partnership activations, campaigns, appearances, and sponsorship deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, brands, teams, CMOs, agencies, sponsors, and media partners
  • Collaborate with On-Ice Agents and internal partners to execute on client marketing initiatives
  • Develop relationships throughout CAA to identify and create additional opportunities for clients
  • Develop creative strategies to grow client visibility and commercial opportunities
  • Stay current on market trends, athlete marketing opportunities, emerging platforms, and brand partnership strategies
  • Travel required based on client, event, and partnership opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in sports marketing, athlete marketing, brand partnerships, or talent representation
  • Strong background in partnership development, negotiations, and client servicing
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and staff
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Established network across brands, agencies, and the sports marketing industry
  • Hockey industry knowledge preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Location
This role is hybrid, based in our Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $202,000 - $237,000 in Los Angeles, CA. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
