Description

  • The Food Service Staff member is responsible for all meals served and the equipment and facilities used in the food service process. The position will have a direct impact on the quality stay for all guests of camp. YMCA Camp Copneconic will have a satisfied and growing participant base, quality programs and services, sound financial position and a positive community image.
  • Executes cooking of food, food preparations, stockroom management, cleaning of kitchen facility, equipment and general cleaning of dining facilities.
  • Implementation of all food service functions at camp, which may include food cooking, food prep and cleaning of kitchen facilities, equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor all necessary food and cooking supplies.
  • May set up dining hall for special events.
  • Manage camp resources (as related to food services), proactively working toward a consistent focus, enhancement and quality food and meals to support the mission of the YMCA.
  • Cleaning of kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
  • Adhere to all safety standards dictated by the American Camping Association and the licensing standards of the State of Michigan.
