Job Description
Elwyn is seeking a Janitor to perform direct janitor, porter, cleaner tasks in offices, restrooms and other areas as assigned.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Have a thorough understanding of the cleaning requirements for a particular task
  • Perform general cleaning tasks in office, restrooms, and other general areas as assigned
  • Perform tasks to an acceptable level of quality and on time
  • Communicates effectively with other members of the cleaning crew
  • Follows instructions from immediate supervisor
  • Knows the tools required for a particular job and brings correct tools to the work area
  • Stays at the work station until job is completed and informs Working Group Leader when task is finished
  • Keeps area neat while working and keeps cart properly stocked
  • Demonstrates a consistent level of performance
  • Strives to maintain a steady level of productivity and provides a consistent effort
  • Seeks out work that needs to be done, works on ongoing projects and assists others as requested
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changes in workload
  • Strives to make good use of time
  • Follows instructions
  • Demonstrates maturity for accountability of job performance
  • Addresses visitors and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner and displays courtesy at all times
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with a variety of staff members, regardless of varied ethnic, racial and sociological backgrounds
