HCO Behavioral Health Services | Elevate Healthcare Group

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Work Location: Remote (Telehealth) | Louisiana residents preferred, but qualified candidates may be considered from other states.

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling

Position Overview

HCO Behavioral Health Services and Elevate Healthcare Group are seeking compassionate, professionally trained Board Certified Christian Counselors (BCCC) to provide high-quality, Christ-centered counseling services through our growing faith-based counseling program.

This opportunity is designed for counselors who are passionate about integrating Biblical truth with sound counseling principles to help individuals, couples, families, and adolescents navigate life's emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges.

Providers have the flexibility to create their own schedules while delivering counseling services through our secure telehealth platform.

IMPORTANT - Certification Requirement

Please read before applying.

This position requires current Board Certification in Christian Counseling through a nationally recognized certifying organization.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA)
  • American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) Board Certification Program
  • Other nationally recognized Christian counseling certification organizations

This certification is required.

Pastoral experience, ministry leadership, seminary education, discipleship, mentoring, coaching, or church counseling does not substitute for Board Certification and does not satisfy the minimum qualifications for this position.

Applicants must be prepared to provide verification of their Board Certification during the hiring process.

Applications submitted without qualifying Board Certification will not be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide professional Christian faith-based counseling through secure telehealth services.
  • Integrate Biblical principles into counseling sessions when appropriate and consistent with the client's goals and preferences.
  • Assist clients with emotional, relational, marital, family, grief, anxiety, depression, life transition, and spiritual concerns.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and counseling goals.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other providers and referral sources as appropriate.
  • Uphold ethical, professional, and Biblical standards of practice.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Current Board Certification in Christian Counseling from a nationally recognized certifying organization
  • Excellent understanding of Biblical principles and their ethical integration into counseling
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience providing counseling, coaching, ministry care, or related helping services
  • Ability to provide services professionally through a telehealth platform
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Reliable internet connection and private workspace for virtual counseling

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Previous telehealth counseling experience
  • Experience working with couples and families
  • Experience providing Christian counseling in private practice or ministry settings
  • Graduate education in Counseling, Psychology, Theology, Divinity, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Pastoral Counseling, or related disciplines
  • Active clinical licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist, etc.) is welcomed but not required unless necessary for the specific services provided
