Job description

Do you know the German construction market and enjoy coordinating complex building projects? Are you pragmatic, solution oriented and able to keep control of budget, planning and quality?

Then you could play an important role in the further growth of BVI.EU in Germany.

BVI.EU develops SME parks, mixed business parks and tailor-made industrial buildings across Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany. For more than 25 years, we have been creating sustainable business environments where companies can grow.

You will not be starting alone. A team is already active in Germany in site acquisition, permits, architecture, engineering, sales and leasing. As Technical Project Manager, you bring these different disciplines together during the construction phase.

What’s in a name?
  • Complete project coordination You coordinate several construction projects from technical preparation and tendering through to final handover. You maintain the overall view and make sure that contractors, consultants, authorities and utility companies work towards the same planning and quality standards.
  • Budget and planning You monitor the construction budget, project planning and key milestones on behalf of BVI.EU. You identify risks early, assess alternatives and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and future tenants.
  • Construction partners Our projects involve several specialised partners for groundwork, shell construction, technical installations, heating, lighting and utilities. You coordinate these parties, follow progress on site and ensure that responsibilities and timings are properly aligned.
  • Authorities and approvals You coordinate communication with German authorities, utility companies and technical bodies. You organise meetings with the fire brigade and follow up matters such as utility connections, Prüfstatik and required inspections.
  • Clients and tenants You are the technical point of contact for questions and additional requests from clients and future tenants. You assess the impact on planning and budget and coordinate the required actions with the relevant partners.
  • Practical solutions You understand the importance of German regulations and procedures, but you do not lose sight of the project objective. When the initial solution does not work, you explore alternatives and look for an approach that is compliant, technically sound and financially realistic.
Is this YOU?
  • German market knowledge You have experience with construction projects in Germany and understand how local authorities, utility companies and approval procedures work.
  • Relevant experience You have at least five years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Construction Manager, Bauleiter or in a comparable role. Experience in industrial buildings, logistics, commercial real estate or SME parks is a strong advantage.
  • Technical background You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a comparable technical field.
  • Pragmatic and structured You maintain the overview, set clear priorities and look for workable solutions rather than focusing only on the problem.
  • Strong communicator You communicate clearly with contractors, architects, engineers, authorities, clients and tenants.
  • Independent, but not alone You take ownership of your projects, while working closely with the existing team in Germany and colleagues in other countries.
  • Language skills You speak fluent German and communicate professionally in English.
What do we offer you?
  • Entrepreneurial company in growth You join a financially strong European real estate developer with more than 25 years of experience and clear ambitions in Germany. Decision making lines are short, initiative is valued, and you receive a high level of autonomy.
  • Challenging projects You work on diverse industrial real estate projects where technical coordination has a visible impact on the final result.
  • Driven team You join an experienced international team that works closely together to deliver high quality projects.
  • Attractive employment conditions You receive a competitive salary package, attractive benefits and the tools required to manage your projects efficiently.
