About the Job
As the Carrier Partnership Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between Our Client and key insurance carriers. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing strategic partnerships that lead to platform integrations and tech fee agreements.
This role is critical to Our Client's growth and success, acting as the face of the organization to carrier executives. You must have a deep understanding of group insurance and the benefits administration ecosystem, along with the ability to clearly articulate Our Client's mission, vision, and competitive value proposition.
Responsibilities
Identify and target key decision-makers at insurance carriers to introduce Our Client's partnership opportunities
Effectively communicate Our Client's unique value proposition to drive interest and action
Negotiate and close contracts with carriers, leading to successful platform integrations and recurring tech fee revenue
Maintain and strengthen ongoing relationships with carrier partners post-contract
Serve as a trusted partner and strategic resource to both internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Proven experience initiating, negotiating, and closing partnership contracts with insurance carrier management
Demonstrated sales success with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
Deep knowledge of the employee benefits space, including employer group health, ancillary, and voluntary/worksite products
Hands-on experience with one or more benefits administration platforms (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, PlanSource, Selerix, Businessolver, BSwift), particularly in setting up and managing group cases
Strong understanding of insurance operational systems, workflow management, and carrier integrations
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Bachelor's degree preferred
Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and process excellence
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to build trust with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS company preferred
