Description
The Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, and motivated individual for the position of Business Transient Sales Manager. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality sales experience essential.
The responsibilities of the Business Transient Sales Manager include but are not limited to:
โ€ข Solicitation of new and existing accounts to meet and exceed business travel and group revenue goals through telephone/e-mail, solicitation, outside sales calls, virtual/site inspections and written communication
โ€ข Advanced level of producing business transient revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, negotiating and closing sales
โ€ข Experience selling to a variety of market segments
โ€ข Marriott experience preferred but not necessary
โ€ข Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue. Meet sales goals through the development of new customers as well as nurturing existing client relationships
โ€ข Ability to quote rates and availability to customers and manage group and catering leads alongside revenue management for optimal pricing as needed
โ€ข Ability to work with the operation team to execute group, meeting, and event business as needed
โ€ข Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all hotel departments but also work independently
โ€ข Assist with other areas as assigned by the General Manager, and Regional VP of Sales and Marketing
โ€ข Ability to log all sales related activity in the Marriot CI/TY System
โ€ข Ability to utilize onsite reservation system- Lightspeed experience preferred to manage reservations
โ€ข Some weekend office coverage as needed
โ€ข Additional tasks and duties required by the Director of Sales or the Managing Director.
