Work Location: Onsite position in Richardson, TX
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Business Solutions Architect to support Lennox's ERP transformation and PDC (Parts Distribution Center) enablement initiatives.
This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP IBP Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions, ensuring they can handle high-volume, exception-driven parts planning scenarios.
The consultant will act as a thought leader and change agent, bridging gaps between IBP capabilities and business requirements, and delivering scalable, high-performance planning solutions aligned to enterprise priorities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
IBP Solution Architecture & Implementation
  • Own technical architecture and design for:
    • SAP IBP (Demand, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization)
    • Integration tools (CPI-DS, SDI, RTI)
  • Configure and enhance IBP modules to support:
    • High-volume transaction processing (POs, order lines)
    • Exception-driven planning workflows
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and SAP roadmap

Requirements Analysis & Gap Resolution
  • Lead deep-dive sessions on business requirements
Evaluate:
    • What IBP can deliver via standard configuration
    • Where gaps exist vs. business expectations
  • Provide clear recommendations:
    • Configuration solutions
    • Enhancements / workarounds
    • Alternate approaches where IBP limitations exist

Exception-Based Planning & Performance Optimization
  • Design solutions support:
    • Mass exception handling (shortages, excess, supply constraints)
    • Fast processing of large volumes of POs and planning data
    • Improve system responsiveness meet business expectations for speed, throughput, and scalability

Business Engagement & Prioritization
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT teams
  • Translate business pain points inactionable IBP solutions
  • Define and manage a prioritized roadmap aligned to:
    • PDC enablement
    • ERP rollout phases
    • Post-go-live enhancements

Data & Planning Model Design
  • Define and optimize:
    • Planning areas, key figures, and master data models
  • Support data readiness including:
    • Data cleansing, transformation, and harmonization
  • Ensure alignment with ERP data structures and analytics platforms

Integration & End-to-End Flow
  • Support integration between:
    • SAP IBP
    • SAP ECC
    • External systems (data lake, reporting tools)
    • Ensure seamless planning flow across:
    • Demand ? Supply ? Execution

PDC & ERP Transformation Support
  • Align IBP design with PDC blueprinting and rollout strategy
Identify:
    • What can be delivered during blueprint
    • What will be delivered post-PDC
  • Support phased implementation and delivery

Delivery, Testing & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead/support full lifecycle:
    • Design ? Build ? Test ? Deploy ? Hypercare
  • Support UAT, validation, and performance testing
  • Drive continuous improvement of IBP solutions and planning processes

Governance & Best Practices
  • Ensure adherence to:
    • SAP IBP best practices
    • IT standards and governance
  • Document processes, milestones, and solution architecture
  • Support long-term IBP capability maturity and scalability

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP IBP implementation and architecture
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • Demand Planning
    • Supply Planning / Response & Supply
    • Inventory Optimization
  • Experience with:
    • SAP CPI-DS / SDI / RTI integrations
    • SAP ERP (ECC/S4 integration)
  • Strong experience in:
    • High-volume, exception-based planning environments
    • Business requirement analysis and solution design
    • Experience in full software development lifecycle and architecture design

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in:
  • Aftermarket / parts / distribution-heavy business models
  • Multi-ERP consolidation or transformation programs
Exposure to:
  • Data lake / analytics platforms
