The BI Solutions Architect designs semantic models, administers enterprise BI platforms, and maintains governance standards that enable trusted, scalable analytics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop semantic models and trusted data products to provide a reliable foundation for trusted, scalable, and actionable analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled decision support
  • Administer and operate enterprise BI platforms, including access management, full lifecycle management, orchestration, deployment across development/test/production, and production support in partnership with IT
  • Maintain Analytics Center of Excellence and Enterprise Data Governance standards around data reliability, visualization, accessibility, usability, discoverability, metric definitions, and catalog standards that promote trusted, discoverable, and consistent analytics assets
  • Partner with IT to deliver trusted, scalable BI solutions aligned to governance, enterprise data, and security standards
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, scalable, and governed BI solutions aligned to enterprise priorities
  • Support the implementation and adoption of AI-enabled and agentic/conversational analytics capabilities across the BI ecosystem, aligned with enterprise AI, architecture, governance, and technology roadmap
  • Contribute to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals
  • Incorporate AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics, computer science, information systems, business analytics, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years' experience as a BI platform admin, BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
  • Experience building semantic models in a production environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in travel, insurance, subscription membership, and/or service-related industries
  • Tableau Cloud administrator and Power BI semantic modeling experience
  • Experience modernizing business intelligence platforms
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Medallion Lakehouse architecture
  • Familiarity with data visualization principles like Gestalt, cognitive load theory

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Industry recognized certifications preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of semantic modeling principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of BI orchestration workflows and tools
  • Proficiency with SQL, DAX
  • Familiarity with SDLC, deployment environments, and agile delivery
  • Familiarity with cloud data architecture and data warehousing
  • Strong business acumen to deliver contextual data solutions aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Ability to question assumptions and approach problems with a learning mindset
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and project sizing
  • Agile and adaptable, able to handle rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, and transitions to new projects or assignments
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and with partners across business units

SALARY:

  • Hiring Range: $105,876 - $126,990
  • Discretionary bonus based on company performance

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Hybrid work from home and office required
  • The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
