The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.
The Services Execution Excellence team plays a critical role in translating Microsoft's Customer Success & Experience (CE&S) strategy into effective execution and measurable business impact. As a Business Program Manager on this team, this role contributes to driving operational excellence across the Microsoft Unified and Consulting Services portfolio by delivering cross-services, cross-Region, cross-Area, and cross-Subsidiary insights that bring strategy and priorities to life at scale.
This individual contributor role is responsible for generating actionable worldwide execution insights and supporting data-driven actions across the Unified and Consulting Services portfolio. The role partners closely with stakeholders across Services Sales, CSU leadership, Finance, Sales Excellence, and Core teams to enable execution discipline, accelerate transformation, and improve business outcomes.
The Business Program Manager applies strong analytical and program management skills to execute across the Customer Success services portfolio, translating data into insights that highlight progress, identify risks and obstacles, and support executive-level decision making across Offers, Execution, Enablement, and related motions. This role leverages standard tools and metrics (e.g., VTB/F, MoM and YoY growth, partner attach, MCEM sales stage coverage) to improve financial performance, solution area health, and cross-segment success indicators.
Working primarily across the Americas time zone, this role influences execution by driving process rigor, supporting change management, and enabling effective renewal and mid-term sales execution through insights, reporting, and targeted recommendations. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder partnership, executive-ready communication, and the ability to operate with autonomy while contributing to broader team and organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Business Health and Management - Partner with leaders to drive programs that accelerate revenue reliability, growth and accuracy - aligned with MCEM standards, IAP Excellence (Pipe, Usage, Top of Funnel, ECIF and Migrations), and AI motions
  • Sales Execution Transformation and efficiency - optimize emerging/updated sales strategies, processes and objectives to drive sustainable growth and improved sales performance - enabling a simplified ROB structure and translating insights to outcomes
  • Agile planning Engagement - Support execution of always on planning activities in partnership with segment, accounts and operational leadership, driving account planning, with enhanced SEL guidance and enabled Go to Market motions

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Sound knowledge & understanding of financial & sales processes, scorecards & key performance indicators used across Microsoft.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerBI & PowerPoint skills; aptitude for working with tools, systems, and large volumes of complex data.
  • Experience designing and improving reporting processes & data models, especially for new businesses and evolving scenarios.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities successfully and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with Customer Success or Commercial business areas, including sales, consumption & usage driving performance with solutioning and delivery.

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900.00 - $203,600.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400.00 - $222,600.00 per year.
