What does a business professor do?
A business professor teaches business topics to undergraduate or graduate students. In this role, your job duties include planning courses, delivering lectures, assigning papers and projects, and administering exams. You also offer office hours to students to need additional assistance or who have questions outside of class. Schools that offer a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program have many business professors on staff. Postsecondary business teachers can also work at undergraduate universities, community colleges, and technical schools. Tenured professors are expected to conduct extensive research on current business trends and other topics relevant to the field and publish articles and papers. Some adjunct professors teach part-time and still work professionally in the business world.
