Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Advisorylevel Business Process Analyst to support missioncritical operations across our national security portfolio onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this senior advisory role, you will lead enterprise and program-level process assessments, develop optimized workflows, and guide transformational improvements that strengthen mission performance and operational efficiency. You will work closely with leadership, technical teams, and functional stakeholders to ensure processes are structured, documented, and executed with discipline in secure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior advisor to program leadership and cross-functional teams on business process strategy, optimization, and integration.
  • Lead detailed assessments of current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for modernization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain future-state processes, governance models, and standard operating procedures aligned with mission and enterprise requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions with technical, operational, and mission stakeholders.
  • Create high-quality process documentation including workflows, BPMN diagrams, process guides, and supporting artifacts.
  • Recommend and support adoption of automation tools, digital solutions, and data-driven approaches to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering, Mission Assurance, Program Management, and Operations to ensure processes integrate throughout the full program lifecycle.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs); prepare executive-level dashboards, reports, and analysis on process performance and maturity.
  • Support organizational change management efforts including communications, stakeholder alignment, and training to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
  • Ensure all processes and documentation meet security, compliance, contractual, and industry framework requirements (ISO, CMMI, Lean/Six Sigma, Peraton standards).
  • Apply disciplined process analysis and quality principles within TS/SCI environments, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
  • Demonstrates experience in consulting with a specialization in business and operational process change.

  • Provides process engineering technical support expertise to production activities and plans projects to improve unit operations.

  • Analyzes processes and re-engineering alternatives, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.

  • Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted teams.

  • Performs supply chain analyses and develops related recommendations.

  • Uses analyses to develop recommended operational improvements, lowering costs and improving customer service.

  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts, such as Six Sigma and ISO 9004.

  • Has specialized experience in modeling business processes and requirements (using structured tools and techniques, i.e., use-case scenarios) and integrating them with data and system architectural models and requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; 4 additional years relevant experience will be considered in lieu of BS degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis, process reengineering, workflow optimization, or enterprise transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead advisory-level process improvement initiatives in complex, technical, or mission-focused environments.
  • Strong experience with process modeling techniques and tools (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-security, fast-paced, and matrixed environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or intelligence community programs.
  • Familiarity with mission assurance, quality systems, program management frameworks, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Experience within Peraton's mission-focused programs and process governance structures.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
