About BackOps

BackOps is building the AI-native operating layer for supply chain and back-office teams. Our products, Relay and the AI Process Center, help enterprise operations teams eliminate exception backlogs, automate repetitive workflows, and reduce dependence on tribal knowledge across their organizations. We work with some of the largest logistics and distribution companies in the world and are scaling rapidly to meet demand.


The Role

We're hiring a Business Operations Lead to help us scale the company through its next phase of growth. This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role sitting close to the CEO. You'll work across GTM operations, financial planning, internal processes, and strategic projects, and you'll be expected to go from identifying a problem to owning the fix.


What You'll Do

  • Own the operating cadence of the business, including weekly reporting, goal tracking, board prep, and investor updates
  • Build and maintain the company's financial model, headcount plan, and unit economics tracking
  • Partner with the CEO and sales team on GTM operations: pipeline hygiene, revenue forecasting, deal desk support, and customer lifecycle tracking
  • Identify operational gaps and lead projects to close them, from vendor management to tooling to process documentation
  • Support recruiting operations as we grow the team, including sourcing coordination, offer modeling, and onboarding infrastructure
  • Take on strategic projects as they emerge, including market research, partnership support, and RFP responses


What We're Looking For

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in business operations, strategy and operations, management consulting, or a high-velocity enterprise software environment
  • You've done the work, not just managed people who did it. You've built models, written processes, run vendor negotiations, and shipped projects end to end
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of structuring work in an environment that moves quickly
  • Strong analytical foundation. You can build a financial model and also write the memo that explains what it means
  • Interest in AI and enterprise software. You don't need a technical background, but you need to be genuinely curious about what we're building
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to be here most of the week
