Responsible for assisting in developing and building improved methodologies and practices consistent with current enterprise goals. We are seeking an experienced Analyst Contractor to support process improvement, software/license contract renewals, and financial tracking and reporting. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to improve operational processes, maintain visibility into licensing commitments and spend, and support timely contract renewals.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Participates on change initiatives teams and formal/informal meetings/communications with area lead contacts to gather needs and issues.

  • Works with Business and IT SMEs on helping areas articulate needs to the department and documents needs statement and requirements.

  • Monitors initiatives and good practices from other areas for possible leveraging across enterprise.

  • Also monitors adoption and use of processes, tools and practices to create action plans in collaboration with the user area to improve usage.

  • Acts as a team member on change and improvement initiatives.

  • Participates in changes across the organization by working with other Relationship Managers and key associates from the organization.

  • Helps identify and coordinate independent initiatives within the department.

  • Assist areas with due diligence on new ideas and acts as the voice of the customer within meetings.

  • Serves as advocate for Enterprise strategies and priorities.

  • Flows a technology solution from concept to reality.

  • For Discovery: Coordinates all pre-assessment Intake - facilitates recurring pre-assessment sessions; ensures involvement and engagement of assigned pre-assessment team in preparation for each session; distributes meeting minutes.

  • Conducts Discovery status reviews, consolidates metrics and performs follow-up activity as required to ensure accurate status reporting.

  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and proactive, with advanced Smartsheet and Excel skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective processes, tracking solutions, dashboards, and leadership reporting.

  • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Design, document, and implement improved processes, tools, and tracking mechanisms in partnership with business stakeholders.

  • Manage and track software/license agreements, renewal dates, costs, commitments, milestones, and required actions.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to support timely contract renewals and proactively escalate risks or upcoming decisions.

  • Track and reconcile license-related expenses, budgets, forecasts, invoices, and contractual commitments; identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Develop reporting and dashboards that provide leadership with visibility into spend, renewals, financial impacts, risks, and key metrics.

  • Design and build Smartsheet solutions, including sheets, reports, dashboards, forms, automated workflows, cross-sheet references, and formulas.

  • Build and maintain Excel-based analysis and financial tracking solutions using advanced formulas, lookups, PivotTables, data validation, reconciliation techniques, and other analytical capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual processes using Smartsheet, Excel, and other available tools.

  • Facilitate meetings and communicate status, risks, recommendations, and required decisions clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in any of the following: coaching, mentoring, monitoring and measuring Information Technology process, tools and standard practices; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Relevant certification in applicable domain such as Project Mgmt, Quality, Availability and Reliability is strongly preferred.

  • Basic understanding of project management methodology, tools and processes strongly preferred.

  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and proactive, with advanced Smartsheet and Excel skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective processes, tracking solutions, dashboards, and leadership reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with leadership.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, proactively identify issues, and drive work through completion.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    - Experience supporting software licensing, technology contracts, vendor management, or contract renewals.
    - Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, or technology spend management.
    - Experience developing executive-level dashboards and reporting.
    - Experience with process mapping, workflow design, or continuous improvement.
    - Experience with Excel Power Query or similar data transformation tools.
    - Experience working within a large, matrixed organization.

  • The candidate can work anywhere. However, would prefer if the candidate resides in the Chicagoland area.

  • 9am-5pm CST

  • 100% remote. Candidates must live within 50 miles of an Elevance Health PulsePoint.
