SAP FICO Consultant - S/4HANA with Group Reporting (7-12Years Experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with deep expertise in S/4HANA Finance and SAP Group Reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex finance transformation projects, driving design discussions, and ensuring best practices in financial consolidation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end implementation and support activities in SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) under the S/4HANA environment.

  • Design and configure solutions in SAP Group Reporting, including consolidation models, data mapping, group structures, and reporting layouts.

  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Consolidation teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions.

  • Manage key integrations between FICO and other modules (MM, SD, PP, and Asset Accounting).

  • Ensure alignment of reporting structures with financial statements and statutory requirements.

  • Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing processes.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliation and consolidation processes.

  • Develop and maintain documentation - functional specifications, test scripts, and user manuals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and compliance.

  • Leadand deliver end-to-end implementation and support activities in SAP FICO(Finance and Controlling)under ECC6 environments

  • Provide strong functional expertise in key finance business processes, delivering knowledgeable support and guidance on the IT services and applications that enable and optimize those processes

  • Provide consulting and business support to users on business process design and

executional issues

  • Create, review, & execute test scripts and participate in integration testing with end-users

and technical teams

  • Promote knowledge transfer and user capability for relevant business systems to team

members and business users.

  • Collaborate with the larger IT organization (e.g. Infrastructure and Security) to deliver

appropriate technology solutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-CCA, CO-PA, Product Costing).

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including Universal Journal and New Asset Accounting.

  • Mandatory expertise in SAP Group Reporting (implementation or rollout experience).

  • Strong understanding of financial consolidation processes, intercompany eliminations, and reporting hierarchies.

  • Experience in data collection, mapping, validation, and reconciliation for group reporting.

  • Good knowledge of integration with SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) and Central Finance (added advantage).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills required

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills

  • SAP FICO Consultant with solid configuration experience in Financial Accounting and Controlling, complemented by working knowledge of ABAP to support debugging, enhancements, and effective collaboration with technical teams.

  • SAP FICO Consultant with in-depth knowledge of FICO master data structures and strong understanding of integration points with other modules

  • Experienced SAP FICO Consultant with hands-on expertise in data migration and upload tools, including LSMW in ECC6 and LTMC in SAP S/4HANA

  • SAP FICO Consultant with proven ability to support and integrate interfaces with third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment with financial processes

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to coordinate with global IT teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance or Group Reporting.

  • Exposure to Fiori apps and modern reporting tools within SAP ecosystem.

  • Experience in multi-entity or global finance transformation projects.
