Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Business Management Analyst. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Radford, VA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Business management functions at the Armament Systems Operating Unit
The position is an Accounting based position, requiring use of both general accounting and financial analysis skills.
Roles and responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:
  • Prepare various program cost analyses, working with program teams to gather needed information, and communicate results to various levels of management
  • Prepare various weekly/monthly reports and communicate results to various levels of management, including sales, A/R, labor, orders, and plant indirect costs. Support preparation of monthly operational review packages
  • Prepare various journal entries to support monthly closing
  • Update financial cost systems for project setups, contract values, and other items as needed
  • Work cooperatively with the various support functions and operations staff to address/support program needs to ensure program and organization success
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

The candidate should be well organized, schedule-driven, and have the ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines. The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills to support various reporting and analytics requirements. We are looking for a highly motivated, team player to join our dynamic, fast-paced financial reporting and forecasting organization.
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work onsite Radford, Virginia
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives as an Employee Possessor
  • Must pass Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RAAP) badging requirements, including background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with the Costpoint/Cognos reporting tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple disciplines and varying levels of management
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Salary Range: $54,400- $81,600
