Gilbane's GRS Disaster Response (GRS) Business is seeking a Business Leader to help continue the growth of GRS leveraging the strength and scale of Gilbane's multi-billion dollar annual revenue construction business to provide a single-source disaster response approach to reconstruction after unforeseen events. GRS delivers a collaborative service model to help maximize owner control over restoration scope, costs, and schedule while seeking to minimize conflict with property insurance settlements and provide an owner driven timely, cost-effective approach to our clients along with the information necessary to allow them to make the most informed decisions in dealing with the loss.

Responsibilities
    • Experienced, highly networked leader from the disaster response, large loss reconstruction or insurance industry. 
    • An entrepreneur who has / creates deep relationships and experience to be "the face of the market" including the understanding of the local dynamics (business environment, politics, etc.). 
    • Deep understanding of operational execution in the market and ability to recruit talent and leverage existing internal resources to build a highly effective team. 
    • Helps formulate and drives the long-term strategic vision for the organization, serving as a bridge between the business and Enterprise Executive leadership and operational teams and ensuring alignment of business goals with the overarching vision. 
    • Rain maker and responsible for identifying and securing new clients, driving results and client satisfaction. 
    • Understands Competitive Intelligence and how to position GRS within the industry. 
    • Provides strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership for informed decision-making.

    • Drive and lead Employee Engagement and Retention for the business. 
    • Partner with the business development teams to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies, client capture plans and account plans.Optimizes profit levers and gross profit margin tactics to achieve performance targets on new sales.Leads opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that help position GRS as the "Builder of Choice" 
    • Responsible for the career development and coaching of employees through a team of managers 
    • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members 
    • Takes action on project financial performance to prevent profit erosion, unforeseen risk and forecast slippage within the business segment. 
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION 

  • 15+ years relevant experiencein disaster response, loss reconstruction, insurance, or related field 
  • BS or MS degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred (not required) 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES  

  • Knowledge of the disaster response market, design/engineering, direct procurement strategies and execution, construction equipment and materials 
  • Excellent negotiating skills
