Located in downtown Atlanta, our urban campus supports a diverse and culturally responsive academic environment. Through distinguished faculty, strong clinical partnerships, and meaningful community engagement, the School of Nursing continues to lead in nursing education and healthcare innovation.
The School of Nursing is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Manager II to provide senior-level financial and operational leadership in support of its academic mission.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Manager II serves as the senior business and financial officer for the School of Nursing. Reporting to the Associate Dean, this role provides strategic oversight of financial management, administrative operations, human resources functions, and scholarship coordination. The position ensures fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and compliance with university policies while supporting the school's academic and strategic priorities.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Management and Oversight
  • Manage the School of Nursing's financial affairs.
  • Develop and facilitate financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the monitoring of departmental expenditures and reimbursements, actively participating in approving expenditures.
  • Provide financial advice to the Associate Dean for the School of Nursing and Director of Perimeter Nursing Program.

Administrative Management
  • Act as the primary liaison to other administrative units on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Maintain departmental records, including personnel records for staff and faculty.
  • Develop and implement efficient office procedures.
  • Plan meetings and special events as required.
  • Manage OneUSG system approvals for bi-weekly non-exempt employees and handle monthly Reports of Absence for exempt faculty and staff.

HR Management
  • Oversee the faculty recruitment process.
  • Interview, hire, and terminate administrative staff.
  • Supervise administrative staff for the School of Nursing and the Business Manager I for the associate degree Nursing Program.
  • Monitor Property Control and Equipment Maintenance, including coordinating equipment maintenance and handling copier lease replacements.
  • Oversee faculty and staff hiring, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, including coordinating office set-ups for new faculty and staff, including workstations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $60,600 - $90,900. Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.
