DEUTZ is one of the world's leading manufacturers of innovative drive systems. Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.
Job Summary
This is a remote position, and our candidate can be located in MN, IL, MO, TX, or OK.
Pay range for this role is $130-$160k.
Position Summary
The Regional Business Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining DEUTZ engine sales, and also parts business, and Xchange in a specific region. Additionally, Regional Business Manager serves as the champion for sales within the distribution channel and DEUTZ's niche product portfolio. If the DPC has a sales champion, the Regional Business Manager will manage this person towards success in their position. The Regional Business Manager will liaise with the Regional Parts Sales Manager and Territory Service Operations Manager. This role supports sales directly when sales opportunities do not align with distribution channel members. The ideal candidate must have practical management experience in a purchasing environment and a DEUTZ innovative spirit to drive solutions and results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop sales budgets, forecasts, and plans as requested.
  • Manage the DEUTZ Power Center New Engine Sales managers within the region.
  • Align distributor's sales activity based on corporate strategy and develop plans with actions to deliver and secure new business at targeted customers.
  • Coach and channel members in the management of the DEUTZ portion of their business.
  • Train channel member personnel on DEUTZ products, benefits, and features.
  • Provide market information to DEUTZ Corporation.
  • Promote and attend DEUTZ local trade shows and exhibitions and participate in industry groups, boards, and other consultative efforts when appropriate.
  • Sell directly or support OEMs in the region.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
This role will require over 50% travel which includes but is not limited to sales activity, developing and leading other sellers in the region, trade shows and related industry events, and occasional activities at DEUTZ offices/various meetings.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associates or higher in business (or other related field) and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Basic knowledge of the off-highway engine market and their applications, including emissions regulations
  • Ability to work well with customers and train sales personnel
  • Strong ability to influence and communicate at all levels

Preferred Requirements
  • 3+ years of managing staff

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
