Summary Description:

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving strategic revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing high-value client relationships, and creating business development strategies that expand the company's market presence. This leadership role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, and guiding the business development process from prospect identification through contract execution.

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans designed to achieve revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities, markets, industries, and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain a targeted list of key accounts, prospects, and strategic opportunities using internal and external resources.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Working knowledge of Aspire's functionality, including managing prospects and opportunities, maintaining client information, tracking sales activity, monitoring pipelines, and documenting business development efforts.
  • Ability to utilize Aspire to maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity records, sales forecasts, activity notes, and probability assessments throughout the sales cycle.
  • Experience leveraging Aspire reporting and dashboards to analyze sales performance, monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and support strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams using Aspire to ensure seamless communication and coordination from initial opportunity through project handoff and execution.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Aspire Software is preferred, including its CRM, opportunity management, sales pipeline, reporting, and business development functionality.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales tracking tools to manage prospect activity, maintain accurate pipeline data, forecast revenue, and measure business development performance.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and execute growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively respond to rejection, overcome objections, and maintain persistence in a competitive sales environment.
